It's amazing as to how a simple thing like TRAFFIC can snowball and change life.
A lot of my close friends, not so close friends and other people I know live in Non Stop - Growing at the rate of fungus - Big Metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore.

Just as these cities offer.. They have high paying jobs, Cars, some have houses.. some are renting and some have invested into buying one..
Lets take a closer look.
They moved from Tier 2, Tier 3 towns to these big cities. They moved there for ambition, money, career, happening weekends or simply because they thought living in a bigger city is going to make them happier or keep them away from relatives or lead an independent life.
A typical day in life of these people include - getting up early morn to get ready and move outta house by 8 / 8.30 am so they reach in time by 10 / 10.30 making their way through the endless traffic which makes a Snail look like a Michael Phelps in action. Slog Part 1 over. Slog part 2 starts with 10-11 hours of office work, in some cases even more. It's 9 pm in my watch, lets move back home. Yay! but wait. Slog part 1 recurs and its gonna take another 1-2 hours to reach back home. 10.30 Pm. (recently a friend told me his timing to reach home sometimes was 12 pm, scared the wits outta me) - What does one really feel like doing after slogging for 15 hours, my guess is watch a lil television, eat take out food - SNOOZE.
Statistics -
5 days of week = No time for family, No time for peace, No time to spend time with children, No time to call up friends, Din't know what a healthy meal looked like, Constant Stress & Irritation (Calculate the long term costs of all this)
2 days a week (Weekends if I may be precise) = Simple Lazing around, Doing Nothing, Watch movies, Catch up with your housemate (family, spouse, friends), or a 2 day trip to try to Rejuvenate
40 days a year (which I deducted after use of profound algorithms) is purely wasted into being in Traffic. 40 ****ing days of 365!!!
and please notice, that most of the people who give up spending 15 hours on their work, don't even enjoy it, they are just their because they have to earn and live.
Is this the pursuit of happiness? What does one get out of it - Does one realize the cost they are paying for a HIGH PAYING JOB in Big city? (Life)
My hats off to people who live like this. It's really hard, I've been there and I din't really enjoy it much, because somewhere at the back of my mind I had a recurring flash, 'Important things in life are missing'
What's the harm in earning a lil less, and living a fulfilling life? Isn't good living a day to day experience rather then that of waiting for those few holidays on mercy of our employers where we 'might' do what we always wanted to do.
